Maybe someone who is blaming ethanol for the high price of dairy prices can answer this question. Why I am only getting paid $18/cwt for my milk when corn is $6.00/bu, when I was getting paid $21/cwt when corn was $4.50/bu.? Seems to me IF ethanol was to blame for the high price of dairy products, shouldn't I be getting paid MORE now? The real reason dairy prices are high is because of the weak dollar=MORE EXPORTS!! Domestic demand for dairy has slowed, yet foreign demand continues to grow. Ethanol has little to do with it.
